What Is It?
We’ve been doing the golf ball drop so long we forgot how long we’ve done it for! We sell lots of balls on the day of the tournament, but we could use help getting people not attending the tournament to purchase balls as this is the biggest money raiser for our tournament. We will give everyone a number or set of numbers corresponding to their purchase on the day of the tournament.How The Golf Ball Drop Works
The ball drop is a very unique, fun, and profitable way for us to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Basically, anyone interested will sell/buy golf balls that will be numbered and the balls are dropped from a helicopter to a hole after the tournament is over. The ball that is closest to the hole or in the hole first wins $1500. The ball drop provides an opportunity for a lot of different people to get involved and help our fundraising. Not everyone plays golf. Not everyone can afford the $175 entry fee. Not everyone will be able to attend the event. This allows everyone to participate. You DO NOT need to be present to win. We will be selling the balls at $20 per ball, 3 for $50, or 8 for $100 or 30 for $250.Here are this year’s numbers:
