How Much We Raised in 2018—$8650!!! The most ever by far!

We had a good turnout on the course and amazing participation in the golf ball drop from many people that weren’t even at the tournament.  We cap the giveaway at $2000 and gave that amount away for the first time ever! Since taking over (with lots of help from Nick Gambino) organizing this event I’ve always set the goal of raising $5000 from golf and the golf ball drop and any other extra donations.

We’ve come close in the past, but never hit it.  This year we raised $3650 from golf and the ball drop (we don’t make much from the actual golf, the ball drop is the main fundraiser).  After the tournament, Simon Daggett (oh, you wanted to keep that donation on the down low?  Sorry!), a regular at the tournament since before I ever even played in it wrote a check for $3000. On top of that Mike Sherbun wrote a check for $1000. The winner of the ball drop, Scott Stephens, donated back $1000 of his winnings too.  GRAND TOTAL RAISED: $8650!!!!  We almost hit my “maybe, sometime, somehow, we can possibly figure out how to get there” goal of $10,000.  Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who participated. Below is a quick shout out to some of the businesses that helped make the tournament a success!

Auto Trader helped out by sponsoring our hole-in-one and providing hats and towels as well as sponsoring a foursome.  Scott from Endless Kitchen and Bath bought a ton of golf balls for the ball drop (and won, and donated $1000 back).  Ki from Floors and More brought a team that dressed well and looked like they would win, but came up short. Ray from Classic Q (great sports bar) in Newport Beach rallied pretty much his entire basketball team to the tournament.  And Ryan from Provident Real Estate (hey, that’s me!) helped organize the event!

Thanks again to everyone!  And we hope to see you again next year!
